About the role

The Modern Workplace Engineer will support the design, delivery, and operation of PremFina’s Modern Workplace environment, with a primary focus on endpoint management, identity lifecycle, and automation.

This role ensures colleagues can work securely, efficiently, and seamlessly across devices and locations, while maintaining strong security, compliance, and regulatory standards. You will play a key role in managing Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and device compliance, while contributing to automation, reporting, and continuous service improvement across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

You’ll work closely with the Modern Workplace Engineering Lead, Security, and wider Technology teams to ensure our workplace services are resilient, well-governed, and scalable as PremFina continues to grow

Key Responsibilities

• Support PremFina to deliver against its vision and values by working in partnership with teams across the business to achieve positive broker, customer, and colleague outcomes.
• Always put yourself in the shoes of our brokers and customers, ensuring all workplace services operate in line with regulation, law, and internal policy.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Intune for device enrolment, configuration, compliance, and application deployment.
• Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) including Conditional Access policies, MFA enforcement, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Maintain endpoint security and compliance baselines, working closely with the Modern Workplace Engineering Lead and Security teams.
• Develop and maintain automation and reporting using PowerShell, Graph API, and Power Automate to streamline provisioning and operational workflows.
• Respond to and remediate endpoint and identity-related incidents in line with agreed SLAs and operational standards.
• Support Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policy management and compliance monitoring.
• Participate in the rollout of new Modern Workplace features, improvements, and projects across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Contribute to operational documentation, runbooks, and self-service knowledge articles to support a scalable and efficient support model.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven hands-on experience in a Modern Workplace / Endpoint / Identity engineering role
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and device management
• Working knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and MFA
• PowerShell scripting skills with the ability to automate and report on operational processes
• Confident, self-motivated, and disciplined, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
• A strong team player with a positive, proactive, can-do attitude
